We welcome you to listen in…

This page contains recordings from one of our regular choir rehearsals held on Monday, 4 May 2026, as we prepared for our upcoming concert at Chilham Church.

A typical rehearsal night begins at 7:30 pm and usually runs for around two hours, with a tea break in the middle. We rehearse a wide variety of music together, working carefully on notes, words, breathing, expression, balance, and overall performance.

Most of the songs in the playlist below were being prepared for the Chilham Church concert, with a few additional pieces included that we are developing for future performances.

So feel free to kick up your feet, make yourself a nice cuppa, and listen in!

Information about choir, and Survey

We welcome singers of all abilities. Our Music Director once said:  “If you can hum, you can sing.”

We are not an audition choir, but we encourage everyone to do their very best to sing well and become part of the overall choir sound. Some people arrive with previous musical experience, while others are completely new to choral singing.

New members build confidence until they are ready to perform in a concert. For some people that may take a month, while for others it may take three months — but when you are ready, you are ready.

We provide a variety of learning aids to help choristers improve, including rehearsal recordings, practice tracks, printed music packs funded through choir subscriptions, and occasional special practices  (e.g. the 2nd tenors, soloists, etc)

Below is the running order for our Chilham Church Concert, with most of the pieces having been rehearsed during our practice session on Monday, 4 May 2026.
